Privacy
This site collects data in two ways: the contact form, and visit statistics from Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies; the details are below. There are no advertising pixels and no third-party fonts.
What the contact form stores
When you submit the form, the following is written to a database on this site's own server:
- What you typed: your name and one way to reach you — Telegram, WhatsApp or email.
- Which page you sent it from, and the campaign parameters in the link that brought you to the site, if any.
- The time of submission, your IP address and browser user-agent string. These are kept to investigate spam and abuse, not to profile you.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to understand how the site is used: which pages are opened, how visitors arrive, how long they stay, on which device and in which browser. Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser: _ga and _ga_<ID>, where <ID> is the identifier of our Analytics property. They tell a returning visit from a new one and are kept for up to 2 years. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not link Google Analytics data to anything you send through the contact form. To opt out, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Ahrefs Web Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are opened, from which country and referrer, in which browser and on which type of device. According to Ahrefs, it does not use cookies and does not build profiles of individual visitors; the statistics are aggregated and anonymised. The script is loaded from analytics.ahrefs.com, so, as with any request to a third-party server, Ahrefs technically receives your IP address and browser data with it. We do not combine these statistics with anything you send through the contact form.
What happens to it
It is emailed to the DNA team so someone can reply, and it stays in the database so the conversation has a record. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or passed to any third party other than the mail provider that delivers the message.
Cookies
Google Analytics 4 sets the analytics cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, kept for up to 2 years (see above). Ahrefs Web Analytics, according to Ahrefs, sets no cookies. The site itself sets a technical session cookie when the contact page is opened: it lets the form check that a submission comes from a page this site served (CSRF protection), it is not used to identify or follow you, and it expires after 8 hours. A separate session cookie is set when a team member signs in to the admin panel. The contact form also uses your browser's session storage to remember which campaign brought you to the site; that data never leaves your browser except inside the form you submit, and it is discarded when you close the tab.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are commercially relevant. Ask and it will be deleted.
